Is that a rhetorical question?

The Buell screen is tiny. It actually does help with the wind compared to no fairing at all but compared to the PUIG DB I had on before my little get off, the mini screen is nothing. There really is no wind protection. It's more like wind reduction and on a scale of 1 to 10 with a 1 being no protection at all and a 10 being gold wing protection, I'd give the Buell screen a 1.5. If you crouch really really low, maybe a 3.

Default Xr650r

Gallavox,
Correct, XR650R
Next the 17" wheels & 320mm rotor & Distanzia SMs....it never ends, but I'll have several bikes from one platform (one license; one insurance bill)!

2000ktm,
If you mean me, I haven't taken this fairing setup on the highway, but I guarantee it is better than the stock enduro fairing. I rode with the lightning fly last year in mock-up but it was much lower. The way it is mounted now will provide more protection. Had the XRR up to 90 with full knobbies (dot rated, stock 14/48 gearing) on the highway, but with dirt helmet and the tire buzz (D606 rear & MT18 front), it was all I could do to hang on. It's actually quieter on dirt roads. The bike itself has little of the single cylinder vibration you might expect.

I also have the Buell Ullyses fly and tall windscreen as well. Now that this is turning out, the Uly fly may be an even better choice - wider, taller and the tall screen mounted with additional windscreen hardware would be a real windscreen.
