I used pliers to hold the can rims clasped together while patiently working the bolt in. It was a little frustrating at times, but I managed. Now its nice and tight.

How did anyone else manage?

Thanks
i took out those screws and used smaller bolts for the exhaust straps

Well, I finally got my pipes on Friday. I had the same bolt clearance issues with the grab bar cowling as you guys did. I ended up using some slotted pan head M6 x 20mm bolts and nylon nuts and the rear cowl went on perfect after that.

after sitting at UPS in texass for a week, i guess it finally came to California today, and my ETA is 4:00pm...right before I go home...and of course next door because the idiot UPS guy never delivers our stuff to our office. I guess he's into fugly oompa-loompas. I gotta resist putting them on tonight! Might be easy if I can't figure out how to take them home :p

One of the screws got stripped on the old exhaust so I had to use a dremel tool to cut the screw off.....you will also need a variety of sockets to get off some of the other bolts.....with the right tools this is about a 4 on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the hardest)
