I average in the mid/high 50's as well... never been able to break the 60MPG zone though (I actually own the very same license plate backing from Aerostich, except I have the more truthful 50MPG one ). But I also haven't tried cutting the engine and coasting down hills either. Necessity is the mother of invention

Yeah I probably should've gotten the 50mpg one. False advertising.

And yes, you get crafty when a looong walk to a gas station (with no wallet) is at stake.
