FZ6If you’re looking for one bike to perform a multitude of missions, look no further.
Take it from Cycle World* Magazine - “For a more advanced rider looking for a bike to do it all, there is no other choice.”
this is the warning lable on my new windscreen word for word.
WARNING.
according to the direction the bike is parked on a sunny sports, the sunbeams may cause a magnifying glass effect that can melt the panels.we advise not to leave the bike on a sunny spots. in case there is no other option, the bike should be pointing to the sun because the effect can only be caused if the sunbeams fall on the interior part of the windscreen. motoplastic decline any responsibility on damages orginated by the no observation of this warning.
no magnifying glass effect. park
magnifying glass effect.do not park.
looks like i might have to ride my bike all the time the sun is shining.WOW.
Meh...I read that just before I peeled the warning label off my Puig light smoke racing screen. It's a lawyer's warning...Puig probably uses the same law firm as Ruger. ;)
I think there's as much chance of that happening as my eyeballs melting from the magnification of my glasses in direct sunlight.
thanks for the info, I didnt know that, I got the clear Puig windscreen
I always pack a lunch when I go riding with cold sandwiches, maybe I can bring some hot dogs and use the Puig screen to cook them

Aren't hot dogs pre-cooked? So really all you'd have to do is warm them up, which you can do by holding them behind you while you're riding so the exhausts can do the work. That way you can heat as you go, and then as soon as you stop you can eat!

Yea, almost all windscreens, even stock, can cause this effect. Just watch where you park. If you feel uncomfortable about it, just carry a rag around with you and throw it over your gauges. I dont think I have ever heard of somebody with an FZ6 melting their gauges though.
