Any word on moding and what will have to be done to get these to work..Not really wantin to get to crazy with it..Hope it ends up being simple because these will be sick
If I can use them without moding my shifter you can put me down for a silver one.
My hope is to get some shift pegs fabbed up. I'll be working with wavex to get the final details figured out. Sit tight and I'll report back when we have an update.
I got a call from the fab shop yesterday and they were able to fab up 18 sets with the material they bought for the job (2 less than I ordered). 12 will be black, 6 will be silver. AFAIK, they got sent to the anodizer yesterday so they won't be ready for a few days.
I'm trying to work out a time to meet up w/wavex so that we can figure it out. My gut feeling really is that we'll just need to setup a perpendicular bracket with one bolt and one nut.
If you got a longer part #19 in that pic, and looking at it at straight on got a longer shaft (would have to work that out) and then bent it into a ____/ shape... I dunno. I'm going to try something when I get my plates, and if I come up with something that leaves everything alone, and allows the rod to go behind the frame, I'll send everyone the specs.

On my bike, I have my Shift Pedal Assembly (#13) cut at the inward bend near the bearing and then flipped and then re-welded. Then the top Shift Arm (#11) and the Rod Joint 1 (#25) were unbolted, flipped, then rebolted. I'll take a pic tonight of my setup.

Yeah, I saw a bit of a pic earlier in this thread. I'm thinking with a bent threaded rod I could get away without modding any stock parts (for reversibility). My only concern is have the bent rod flex enough to make shifting feel mushy. The rizoma rearsets use an idler arm to transfer the force between two threaded rods. If a bent rod doesn't work, I'll try to find a suitable idler arm and then get two shorter threaded rods.
Here's the rizoma, for comparison with my idler arm idea:
Anyway, I'm going to see how things will line up when I get the plates, and see what the best shifting method will be, while retaining the rod going through/behind the frame. My driveway still has 4" of ice on it, so I'm not going anywhere soon!
