i like that streetfighter headlight..

hey dave i am considering going naked this spring if i stay around..ill have a lot of time on my hands if i dont go to europe, so since you are like the official around here let me ask you something..

how is the wind resistance difference between the naked and the faired fz? i know you rode both recently, so what would you say? is there a serious difference that could bug someone on the freeways and stuff?

Well, I have to say that the first day you ride the bike without the fairing, you definitely will feel a difference. However, after a few days, I got used to it completely. And love it.

Now, if you plan to do ALOT of freeway riding, I would not recommend it. I commute to work on the freeways everyday, but it's no long distance travelling. If you're planning a trip cross country anytime soon, keep the fairing

For all other types of riding, all day rides, twisties, some highway to get home, it`s perfect for me.

Example: last saturday with moldmaker and pancho: 350 miles... parts of it @ 30 degrees F up the mountain path with 2 feets of snow on the side of the road, to Pacific Coast Highway under the beautiful california sun!

nope, not planning to do the any across america trips on my fz

the freeway riding i do is same as yours, going to school everyday, using the freeways but its not a long ride, and riding around in la, going to the coast from 10, hitting the canyons..i should be fine then

i've been wanting to do it for a while, before getting on the bike sometimes, i squint a little trying to have picture of the bike in my head without the fairing, and i must say, that picture is sexy..

im gonna try to do it the cheap way tho, no naked fz kits or anything, and i want it to be unique, i have ideas about the speed triple headlight..we will see

The fairing comes off easily. Take it off and admire it up close.
