This thread rocks.

Its funny...I am usually one of those guys that will mod anything...but with my FZ6 I have done only a few minor cosmetic mods and I'm happy with it. I would like to black it out completely, but recently I have been thinking I will just ride it for a few more years and trade it up for an FZ1 in black (don't hate me!).

The thing with this bike is...I just want to RIDE it...that is all I want to do is be ON the bike enjoying it and I really couldn't give a crap what it looks like.

I went down this summer and it got lightly scratched on some easily replaceable parts...but I don't even really want to change them out...normally I would have immediately replaced those parts...but on this bike I figure it makes the bike 'mine' and I'm still really happy with it.

Strange.

It is homemade indeed... if you speak french, I can give you the forum address, but if not, let me know your questions and I`ll translate and forward to him for you...

Oh and I personally don`t like it... but if you`re going with a racing seat and want to make it legal, that would be a good idea

wavex, how much might your painter buddy charge for either flat blacking or flat bluing an FZ6 (my R6 upper and lower, front fender, gas tank, rear side covers, an R1 tail)?

Traitor! So you`re going with an FZ1 just because you`re too lazy to paint your 6??? Admit it, you don`t like your fizzer anymore...........

I paid $250 for the gas tank & headlight mini fairing... for a full fairing + side covers (you should do the covers yourself, easy) + tank, you're probably looking at $350... flat black is fairly easy to paint though, compared to glossy, so I may be able to negotiate a discount... I`ll ask him tonight when I see him (bastard is still slacking on my mini fairing lol).
