FZ6If you’re looking for one bike to perform a multitude of missions, look no further.
Take it from Cycle World* Magazine - “For a more advanced rider looking for a bike to do it all, there is no other choice.”
I never planned to travel much at night. But I didn't plan out any route or stops really. So often I would end up riding well into the night before finding a place to camp.
Ferry #4 from North Sydney to Port Aux Basques, Newfoundland. This was about a 7 hour crossing. Something to note is that you must book well in advance to get a spot on the ferry. I didn't know this and was lucky to get in on a cancellation.
When I arrived in Port Aux Basques it was dark. I took a camp site not to far from the ferry. This is the view that awaited me in the morning when I went to pull back onto the road.
On the top of Blue Mountain. It had rained all day and was extremely windy. I saw several big trucks that had been blown into the ditch as I traveled along the coast.
absolutely amazing... awesome photos... and it looked like a helluva trip... how far did you end up traveling total... id love to do this in a few years...

1am in St. Johns. Getting ready to leave and take the ferry from Argentia to North Sydney.
The boat ride off Newfoundland was 16 hours due to heavy winds (normally 14). Several sailings had been canceled in the days prior due to extreme weather. There were hundreds or Harley's on the boat due to a Harley convention in St. Johns. While waiting in the lineup to board the boat a group of friendly Harley folk came over to check my bike out. One started off on how my bike was the new Honda Touring bike and blah blah blah. It was rather amusing.
