Hi,

New member here and all I can say is WOW! What an adventure. I have the same model/color FZ6, and the pictures are making me drool!

I may have missed this in the post, but what type of seat do you have? Sure looks better than the stock one.

I just sent this link to my buddy Abbotsford, BC. I'm trying to get him motivated to do a similar trip. Fingers crossed.

Caladin, this is absolutely incredible. This makes my upcoming trip to Miami in August look like a ride around the block. That's only going to be about 6000km total riding from Hamilton, ON. I can't wait to do my trip now LOL.

Great posts and pictures.

Caladin - check out Autostitch to stitch your images together. I used to do it manually, which took forever and wasn't always great. Autostitch does it in under a minute and they typically look amazing.

wow, fucking awesome, damn! That was an unbeliebable friggin trip! Dude, give youself an IRON ASS and every other award out there for this...excellent pictures and who gives a rats ass about the write up...you spent 49 days on a trip that is a life time full of memories...Once again, I envy you for this and hope some day that I too can do at least 50% of what you did....Oh by the way, not going to Mexico---smart move. I have thought about an Alaska trip..but damn, that place is constantly cold..Anyways, best of luck to you in your future trips and once again, thanks for sharing this with all of us here in the forum! unbelievable, lucky mother f'er

Inadvertent bump. ;) I LOVE this thread. Makes me want to sell my Cortech saddlebags and somehow come up with the scratch for some nice Givi's...then take the wifey 2up somewhere....anywhere....far away.

My little 2005 jaunt from Florida up through the Carolinas and back look like a trip to the corner mart, lol.

Awesome trip m8. Thanks for sharing the trip and pictures....Some of those have got to be worthy of the 2010 calender.

If your doing another trip like that you might want to look at the touring scottoiler with dual injector for your chain. Dont need to refill it for 5000-6000 miles. Keeps the chain very clean and slick.
