No thread or documentation. I recently had to replace my left side pegs after an accident I had with my week old bike

It should also be noted that the driver and passenger pegs for R1s and R6s, as well as the passenger pegs on YZF600s are a "sporty", solid aluminum style pegs. The 2008 FZ6 and YZF600 drivers pegs are an identical "touring" style with the rubber pad on the top. Additionally, on the above mentioned bikes the driver and passenger pegs will interchange from driver to passenger. The differences are that the drivers pegs have a slider pin on the end of the peg while the passenger pegs do not.

06 FZ1 bars fit on my 06. Worked very well.
07-08 painted front fender fit on my 06 with slight modifications to the fender.

I did a write up on the fender mod a while ago, but for the life of me I cannot find it.

I've never finished it. I've been busy working on the house I bought in April, working on a skunkwork/side-project/new business thingy, and I've also done a fair bit of traveling. My motorcycle project has been put on hold .

according to yamaha, the r1 uses 43mm inverted front suspension. does that means it will fit our fz 6 or onnly the tube is 43mm and the rest is too big

also according to yamy's website, ou bigger brother the fz1 is skating on 43mm telescoping fully adjustible front end. upto 05 models atleast. so how bout it

I believe it is the latter case. There would be questions about the separation distance of the fork tubes in the triple tree and spacers to accommodate that, the axle length and diameter, we know 02-03 brake calipers fit 04-06 FZ6s, and we also know that the FZ6 uses a taller profile tire than both the R6 and R1.

Adding to this, ofcourse the newer style 07+ fairings are compatible too if you get a 07+ fairing stay and just need to bend the side mounting brackets to fit and vice versa. Pretty trivial but I did it nonetheless. 06 - 07 conversion almost complete!

Swingarms are compatible too, you need the newer rear axle and chain adjustment pieces though 07 Swingarm swap on a 06 complete!
