Default subframe

Fellas, I'm still working on my 06 FZ6 crash recovery -- the rear end, including the seat and fender, appear to be offset from the rear wheel. I'm guessing it's a bent subframe, though I can't actually see any bends or kinks in the subframe under the seat. Question is: are the 04 and 05 subframes compatible with an 06, and would I need to have the 04/05 subframe black professionally painted black to match the rest of the frame, or has anyone had any luck painting frame and stock engine components with some good flat black rustoleum spray paint or something similar?

the subframe should fit. i'm 90% sure on that. as for paiting, you could go colorrite.com and get the actual frame paint color which will match it right, but on that much surface area it's a bit hard to get it just right. I used the colorrite paint for a touch up and the rear hugger (ran outta color rite blue so i said wtf why not)
