FZ6If you’re looking for one bike to perform a multitude of missions, look no further.
Take it from Cycle World* Magazine - “For a more advanced rider looking for a bike to do it all, there is no other choice.”
I miss the Warrior but love my Triumph, it just fits me and feels right. It is pretty quick, I beat my friends V-star 1100 with my 900 Speedmaster. Something about the FZ is calling my name, any thoughts based on my biking history??
My last Bike was a 2004 Speedmaster with quite a few mods done.
The FZ6 is a totally different bike it is faster & a lot more fun to ride.
Just my opinion.
I went from a Warrior to the FZ6...are you on RSWARRIOR.com???
The things about the ride that drew you to the Warrior are the same things that you are going to LOVE about the FZ6...because they are all better on the FZ.
The only thing you will miss is the buttload of low end torque. But I have decided that trading all that torque for a 14K RPM powerband is a very very fair trade.
While the Warrior would force you to hang on at 3K rpms....the FZ will have to hit about 8K to produce the same feeling...but the amazing thing is that the FZ will still have another 6K rpm to go!!!
Plus, if you were like me and refused to put a windscreen on your Warrior...you will LOVE LOVE LOVE the wind protection on the FZ. Between that and the midset controls, I can honestly say that the FZ in its stock setup is more comfortable for me than my Warrior was with the $400 corbin seat I had on it.
Definitely get the FZ6. You will NOT be disappointed. This bike sets the bar for all multitaskers and its a love affair that just never ends. You will continually be discovering new things that you love about this bike.
I was getting a little burnt out on riding my Warrior...the lack of wind protection, the way it forced my lower back to bend and therefore would make me sore on long rides, the LAF exhaust I had on it...but since I got my FZ6 I feel like I have fallen in love with riding all over again.
Trust your instincts...take the FZ6 for a test ride if you can...and I guarantee you will be signing papers that same day.
From a big guy (6'4" / 240 lbs) this thing moves and handles good. It's my first bike, so maybe I don't know any better, but I am comfortable with the ergos. I'm not one for wheelies, so I don't know about that---- but from 8 to 12 K RPM, this thing will set you back.
I do know a replacement speedo head msrp is $425.
You Can Do It!!!!
