Binding? Handcuffing? Maybe...but my hands already hit the tank on my R6S though the clip-ons stay .5" away from the tank. So it's not a huge concern for me. I just want recapture that steering feel/feedback the R6/R6S offers.

You must have misunderstood me. I didn't say you wouldnt need the axle and caliper shims....just the fender adapters. As long as the axle and caliper shims are used then you will have no fork binding. This is my mod, remember?

So out of curiosity are there any kits left? I recall reading that there was only one kit left.

I still have a few machinist friends around. Maybe somebody could pull their spacers and get some good measurements (an important distinction) and post them up in this thread?
