I figure that most people on this forum have figured out what they like for tires, but this was such a great deal that I thought I'd post it anyway.
This is no endorsement of these tires, as I've never used them. I personally don't like Dunlops (prefer Michelin or Pirelli), but the price on these caught my eye.

I had a D208 rear on my bike at one time. It had great traction but, withh 2-up riding, I only got 4000 miles out of that tire. That was my last 208...

Well, seeing as the tires on my '04 are the same ones that they came with 3.5 years ago and I've put 3300 miles on them in the past year or so, I jumped on this deal. I figure I can put another few hundred miles on the ones I have on there and then do a massive burnout and video it.

That's cool. I know that a lot of people don't like the Dunlop's (myself included), but I figured that there must be someone out there looking for some cheap tires.
They're so cheap that I'd consider them if I needed tires, even though they're not my faves.
Thats a good deal for the set. Those were stock on my GSXR, I ran a couple of the rears (lasted 3-4k miles of fairly hard riding). I eventually ended up switching to pilot powers.
i would get these but ive already made my mind up to try the metzerler M3's...

I got 10k out of my stock front battleax and 8k out of the rear, big ol nail got me around 2k with the first one. and 8.5k out of my pilot roads. I also have almost no chicken strips
There's a thing about old tires though, the whole outgassing that if it's been sitting in a backroom somewhere it deteriorates all by itself without use, so it won't be as sticky when you put it to the road. Part of why they need to move them before they get unusable
I figure I saved about 70 bucks over the set of tires I was planning on getting, pirelli diablo. I decided to get new tires for the whole sitting in the garage losing their stickiness thing. These tires were sitting for two years with the previous owner who only put 74 miles on it before I got the bike. I've put a few thousand on them, but I'm ready for something a little stickier, and these were a steal.

Just got off the phone with my local dealer to set up an appt. to get these tires I bought put on. When I told him I bought the tires online, he said something about online retailers getting lower grade tires than the dealerships. He said dunlop grades the tires "A" through "E" and the online retailers get only "D" and "E" grade tires, which means that they might not be able to balance them properly or the tread might separate. Anyone else heard anything like this or had a bad experience with internet sourced tires?

Like Dunlop, or any tire manufacturer, is going to sell tires on which "the tread may separate." Sure, they'll blow up if you don't pay too much to your local dealer. I hate dealers.
*EDIT* I'd find another dealer to mount the tires. Anyone that would feed you that line has no scruples, and I'd refuse to deal with them.
