I added this thread to the new sticky'd FZ6 "How To" Thread, since it include some FZ6 specific info, and a good link to the general chain tightening.

You should always let out on the clutch between shifts. This gets the gears spinning again as they could come to a stop on the first shift. If they do come to a stop you may still think you are getting a solid shift when in truth the gears are only half engaged because the gear momentum actually helps the gears pull themselves together. If you don't do this I have seen people been shift forks and wear gear dogs so gears would start slipping when under high load.

No lag I haven't been here that long. I get a nightly email on all new and updated threads in the FZ6 section daily and the other day this thread was in it. I wonder if someone posted and then deleted.
