FZ6If you’re looking for one bike to perform a multitude of missions, look no further.
Take it from Cycle World* Magazine - “For a more advanced rider looking for a bike to do it all, there is no other choice.”
Im not sure if it will run any better with the inserts removed. If it is running a little rich right now, I would think it would run a little better with them out, but I cant really be for certain. Im fairly pleased with the fit and finish. It was a bit of a pain wrestling it all in, but that was in part because of it being an undertail exhaust system. The plastic that goes between the two pipes and connects to the fender at the bottom was a bit of a pain to refit between the pipes as well since they are positioned so close together. I do like how the plastic piece doesnt flap around though like I have seen on other systems. One of the reasons that I went with the Leos was the look of them. The carbon fiber doesnt have a glossy finish on it. It gives the tail a flat black look that blends well with the bike.
The screws holding in the DB Killers right now are made to only tighten down, so I need to cut a notch in them so I can get some leverage with a screwdriver to turn them back out. They sent me some screws though that have pictures of removing and/or installing the DB killers with, so will replace the current ones on it with those. They did send me some other stuff, like Leo Vince SBK name plates the rivet onto the exhaust. Look just like the stickers on them now. Says for a Ducati on the packaging for them though .
I would recommend the exhaust to anybody. It was well crafted, and comes with the cat eliminator. Not too bad for the price when you consider all that it comes with.

Its sounds much better with the scorp tunning, but seems to be running a little rich. If I put it on the stock map, it runs like a beast in the midrange, but feels the same as stock on top-end, and sounds like poo. Lots of backfiring and popping when not accelerating. With the scorp map it sounds oh so sweet, no popping and a little backfire when i cut the throttle at high RPMs, but feels the same midrange, and pulls like a beast in the high rpms. Throttle response isnt as good on the scorp map as it is on the stock map. I think it was running a little too lean on the stock map though. Figured its safer to run it rich rather than lean.
Thanks for all the great info, I have a question for you... You said it sounds like "poo" on the stock map. Did it sound the same before you put the power commander on? I'm assuming it would be the same, just wondering if the PC on the stock map made it run differently. Reason I'm asking is because I really like these pipes, but don't want to buy a PC right now. So I'm curious how it was without the PC altogether...
Also, any chance you could post a sound clip with higher rpm's?
Before I installed the PCIII, they sounded meh. Tons of backfiring at all RPMs when at 0% throttle. They sounded quieter in the mid to high range too, and it ran fairly well. The sounds like poo comment came from what my dad said it sounded like one day when I was running it on the PCIII stock map. I still have yet to get anybody to tell me exatcly how it sounds other than "sounds good" or "sounds like poo". I noticed today that its starting to backfire all kinda sorts at maybe 2% throttle, all RPMs. Thinking of tinkering with it some soon, if my g/f will let me.

Will cost me roughly $250-$300 to get it dyno tuned. From what I heard though, the guy takes a good 5 hours tuning every rpm/throttle combo. If I do get it done, I will most deffinately upload the map here and on the PCIII site.
Randomchaos,
I am really interested in getting these cans but only want to do so if I can have a PCIII map that runs perfectly. The problem is that there are not a lot of tuning places around me, and it is super expensive. If you are going get your bike PCIII tuned and can post a good map for this setup ( I assume it would work the same on an 07'), I'd be willing to send some cash your way to help you out and get a good Leo map out there for the FZ6.
Got out today and had some fun. Had my g/f with me, so got some good pictures and video of how the exhaust sounds. Got a new camera as well . Hurray for early b-day gifts!
