Well, its officially on. Took roughly 2 hours from start to finish. First thing I must say is, WOW. As I was putting it on, or should I rather say wrestleing it all on, I was thinking to myself, "damnit, this had better be worth all of this trouble!". Well my initial readout is...YES! It most deffinately was worth the trouble. I have attached a few quick pictures I took after it was completely installed.

Sound is pretty damn amazing. Idle - 4k sounds like a regular old inline-4 would. 4-5k, its nearly silent when on the bike! My parents said they could hear it, and that it sounded good, but it almost sounds stock to the rider at that RPM. Once you crank it open though up over 5k, its a new ballgame. It really comes to life, and starts sounding like a SS.

I can deffinately tell a power gain. Hammering it in 1st gear now pulls the front wheel like crazy. I actually have to position my weight up over the front to keep it down now. I can deffinately tell there are more G's pulling me back when accelerating.

Next week when it finnally decides to warm up, I will probably slap the camera on her and take her out for some fun. For now though, this is all I can provide. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o91pvz-0iP8. I will probably try removing the DB Killers to see how it sounds as well. I also need to see if I can tune it a little with the CO controls. I can tell there is some power waiting to be unleashed if just given the fuel to do it. Might end up buying a PCIII though.

Im guessing Leo Vince names all of their systems "Racing". Factory is probably for pure racing only. Standard is for street. Thats my guess atleast. The standards are cheaper, and are the ones I bought. They came with inserts in them to lower the DBs, that look like they can be removed with a flathead screwdriver.

Scroll up to the top of page 2 .

Would also like to note. I installed a PCIII, and with using the map for the Scorpions, it is much louder. No more silent in the 4-5k RPM range

This may be a dumb question, but is it possible to take the Leo Vince sticker off the sides? I might want to do that for a slightly cleaner look. Also, is it running well with the scorpion PCIII tune?

Leo sticker should be pretty simple to remove. Its sounds much better with the scorp tunning, but seems to be running a little rich. If I put it on the stock map, it runs like a beast in the midrange, but feels the same as stock on top-end, and sounds like poo. Lots of backfiring and popping when not accelerating. With the scorp map it sounds oh so sweet, no popping and a little backfire when i cut the throttle at high RPMs, but feels the same midrange, and pulls like a beast in the high rpms. Throttle response isnt as good on the scorp map as it is on the stock map. I think it was running a little too lean on the stock map though. Figured its safer to run it rich rather than lean.

I tried contacting Dynojet about a map for the Leos, and they told me what they have for download on the site is all they have available maps wise. I also contacted Leo Vince directly to see if they had any, but havent heard anything back yet. Will cost me roughly $250-$300 to get it dyno tuned. From what I heard though, the guy takes a good 5 hours tuning every rpm/throttle combo. If I do get it done, I will most deffinately upload the map here and on the PCIII site.

i wonder if things would change with the upper rpms if you pull the inserts out? are you happy with the fit and finnish. i remember you had questions. also once you pull the db killers out and if you change your mind, are they going to be easy to put back in? would you recomend them to other people?

I do like the fact that they are not obnoxiously loud. The one thing that holds me back (well besides $$$) from buying Leos is the fact that there's no PCIII tune out for them. You'd think it would be in Leo Vince's best interests to make sure a tune exists on Dynojet's website - I am sure they would sell more cans. Anyhow, it would be really nice of you to post the tune if you do go through with it. Thanks Randomchaos.

on leo vinces website they insist no tuning is required for their slipons. that is one reason for no map. looks like dyno tunning is the best option.

Im not sure if it will run any better with the inserts removed. If it is running a little rich right now, I would think it would run a little better with them out, but I cant really be for certain. Im fairly pleased with the fit and finish. It was a bit of a pain wrestling it all in, but that was in part because of it being an undertail exhaust system. The plastic that goes between the two pipes and connects to the fender at the bottom was a bit of a pain to refit between the pipes as well since they are positioned so close together. I do like how the plastic piece doesnt flap around though like I have seen on other systems. One of the reasons that I went with the Leos was the look of them. The carbon fiber doesnt have a glossy finish on it. It gives the tail a flat black look that blends well with the bike.

The screws holding in the DB Killers right now are made to only tighten down, so I need to cut a notch in them so I can get some leverage with a screwdriver to turn them back out. They sent me some screws though that have pictures of removing and/or installing the DB killers with, so will replace the current ones on it with those. They did send me some other stuff, like Leo Vince SBK name plates the rivet onto the exhaust. Look just like the stickers on them now. Says for a Ducati on the packaging for them though .

I would recommend the exhaust to anybody. It was well crafted, and comes with the cat eliminator. Not too bad for the price when you consider all that it comes with.
