Default My lightbar installation

I installed the Versa Light Bar I purchased from Aerostitch. The Versa Light is a riding light, brake light, and turn signals - all in one. I used posi-locks (also from Aerostitch) and didn't have to cut a single wire. I originally mounted the bar to the bottom of the license plate - but with the FE kit, the light bar point up more than back. So I bought some L brackets from Lowe's, bent them as needed (about 45 degree angles), and remounted the bar. Angles a lot better.

The Versa light has 25 (I think it is) LEDs. The middle 15 (I believe) are red for riding / braking and each end has 5 (maybe) yellows for flashing.

The three pics are:
1) Riding light only (you can make out individual LEDs better)
2) Brake light on (a little brighter - better to tell in real rather than photo)
3) Flashers with riding light (each will flash individually with the turn signal, this just shows both at once)

Looks good. Kinda like a robot-monster or something.

Looks similar to what I've got, though mine's only a brake light. I've also wired it to my brake light modulator.

Product link for those interested, looks like it's $45 + S/H direct from Aerostich.

Very cool! Thanks for posting that SDM. Maybe I'll have to put something like that on my wishlist!

Didn't have to cut any wires? Sounds like the thing for me! Thanks for posting.

Steve,

May I ask which mod do you have to get your rear turn signal to light up? I have clear lens signal, and am interested in plug-&-play LED bulbs with offer dual filament function like the front signals.

Thanks in advance,

Sam

I'm guessing he had the hazzards on and just timed the picture right. Rear-facing orange running lights would not fly where I am....

This is not a thread jack.

Lyxxsxl if you want your rear turn signals on all the time when your riding you need to buy a "Priority Plus". I've had one on my 04' since it was new. I bought mine from the Yamaha dealer that sold me my Fazer. You still have full use of your signals when turning.

Might want to check state to state legality on that just FYI dont want to see anyone get hasseled over color Requirements but in Tejas constant amber to the back would be a no, not that you'd get stopped by me, just a heads up.

Yes, brilliant photography if I may say so myself!!
The rears do not light unless turning or hazzards. There is a mod that can be done to leave them on all the time, but like DefyInteria said, check the legalities of this. You might be able to get away with switching the converted signals to running light bulbs from amber to red.
