I need a picture of a center stand mounted
I am trying to attach the center stand back onto my bike, and am not sure where to mount the springs. Can someone please take or post some pix of the center stand from the side to show how I need to attach the springs. It would be great if you have a closeup of the springs and center stand in the raised and lowered positions. I expect to catch some slack for this, but I do appreciate anyone's help.
Thanks, Dennis

Here's a couple with it down, you should be able to take it from here, just do it with it up, of course Note, the smaller spring is inside the larger.

I knew that I could count on the FZ6 community to help me with this matter. What would I do without all of the knowledge that I gained from Sportbiked FZ6 crew?

Flail your arms about in utter confusion, all the while your neighbors thinking you need to be in a padded room? Just thinking out loud here...

Resurrecting this old thread. Bought my FZ6 last Fall (2011) but it didn't have a centre stand. Bought a stand off ebay. All good and it is mounted now. One problem ... how do I get the spring attached? As in, I know where it goes, but it is a really freakin' strong spring (or I'm just real weak). Easy/safe way to pull it over the catch?

Aaaaand problem solved. I attached the spring first to the frame and stand, then levered the loose stand into place. Need a few taps with the hammer here and there to get the bolt holes lined up. All done!

Nice job! Enjoy that center stand, especially in the winter, where it will take pressure off of your tires.
