FZ6If you’re looking for one bike to perform a multitude of missions, look no further.
Take it from Cycle World* Magazine - “For a more advanced rider looking for a bike to do it all, there is no other choice.”
Since the original question was answered, this thread also shows some ways to solve a couple of installation problems with the stock screws/inserts. So scroll down to see those solutions!
Just picked up a dark smoke windscreen from my local dealer. I walked in to look at tail bags, but saw the screen on an FZ6 they had on the floor. Bought it right off the bike!! I could not resist!!
I looked through all the windscreen threads and didn't see the info I'm seeking adressed.
Is this windscreen supposed to have that plastic edging all around or just on the top lip (one post was worded to where I wasn't sure that they were talking about this or the rubber trim that comes on the stock screen)? From the pics in the threads it's hard to tell. One or two look like they do, but the pics are too small to make it out clearly.

The Puig website is no help either.
Just around the top edges is what I have some people end up not putting it on but I think it looks better on there.

The included tubing is supposed to go on the top, as WTVa said. I didn't put mine on because it was a pain in the ass. I put over 1000 miles on my bike with the Puig installed and it doesn't seem to affect performance/durability.
Thanks again all. The screen I bought has the tubing installed along the top. I liked the way it looked on the bike it was on at the dealer, so I think I'll leave it.
I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing any additional tubing.
tubing along the top? My puig didn't come with any. Don't think I would need it. I just have the tubing that fills the gap between the headlights and the cowling.
and since the Puig instructions since to attach the screen losely, and then install the tubing, I really don't think it is meant to go on the top of the screen as a lip, because there would be no reason to keep it loose if you were installing it there.
I just got a new Puig earlier this week. There was tubing/edging included with mine. It goes on the top edge of the screen. I have Zero Gravity shield on my other bikes and it did not come with any edging.

Alright, got another question. I installed the shield, but the two uppermost screws don't quite go in properly because the screen isn't countersunk like the stock one. It pulls the threaded inserts a bit out of there holes and you can see the screw threads while seated on the bike. Anyone come up with a solution for this?

nope i have the same problem..annoying isnt it? lol i just ignore it.
I have the tubing going all around the top "3" edges of mine.
Yes, the "fitment" problem is annoying. I am actually in the middle right now (just taking a break) of trying to remedy it. In my case it was actually pulling the plastic on one side so it was making a visible gap. Some Dr. Sholls corn pads or similar, might help to bring it up a bit, and make the screen fit more flush.
If you look at the stock screen you will see how they made a slight bend there to do this.
I think I'm gonna hit Lowes and Home Depot this weekend. They both have a section of oddball fasteners/washers and misc hardware that might have something usefull. I'm thinking of 2 pieces of rubber shaped to the contours of the shield and a couple of longer screws.
Something like this:
I too noticed it pulling the plastics apart. Looked crappy so I took those two screws out for now.
