Anyone looked into replacing the top triple-clamp with one from an R6 with the clip-ons? Don't know if it's even feasible...

I considered it for 2 seconds, I think the bars would not fit, look at your faring it is real high near the bars, go with my setup it is about as low as you will get, and it feels great

Default Is it possible to buy or lower the handle bars?

I find that when riding over 60mph the wind is blowing me around, so I generally bend down a bit behind the wind shield. When I do this, my arms feel weird in that position and was wondering if I could lower my handle bars just a little bit, or buy new ones that don't have the bend in them. I know there are taller wind screens I can get, but I like the looks of the stock screen especially after I painted it.

Try a search for "lower handlebar" and see what comes up. Here's one thread:

I actually feel quite comfortable tucked in like that. I can rest my elbows on my knees, and it feels like I could ride like that for hours.

My mistake. When I did a search I typed in Handel and not Handle. Not many results that way. Thanks for the info, I appreciate it.

Yeah, not much classical music discussion on here. I'm with 04Fizzer. I kind of like the elbows propped on the knees. During a track day it got a little annoying bumping elbows into knees, though. I might try a lower, more forward bar as long as it doesn't bump the fairing.

These are adjustable, anywhere from 3 inches down and 2.5 forward to 1 above stock with considerable adjustment on the angle in all postions.

Hey Everyone.. First time poster. I just got my FZ6 about two weeks ago, already have my FE Kit ordered and now am looking at getting a little more agressive riding postion. My question is to FAZR6, how much more of an agressive riding position does the LSL Street Bars give you? Also, I am a pretty big guy, we're talking 6'5", 225lbs, one of the reasons I bought the FZ6 is because of all the room I have on it being this big. So does going with new bars for a more agressive riding position take away any "room" sort of say on the bike? Also, FAZR6, which color did you go with on the bars to match the Triple Clamp? I don't want to go super agressive on the riding position, but a bit more sportier would be nice.. Thanks in Advance!

Just for your infos
the handle bar between FZ6-S and FZ6-N is different
the naked version is both shorter in height and more straight bend.
