LSL drag bars are a flat bar, in other words they have no rise. The original bars on our FZ6, rise roughly 1.5 inches and pull back a few inches. I wanted a slightly more leaned ridin position so I first tried to just tip the oriinal bars, this worked somewhat, it was much more comfortable, but on the full turn of the bars to the throtle side the grip touched the tank. Not a real problem for riding, but for parking not great. I also still wanted a bit more lean. End result Spigel sells LSL bars in many rises and pull backs. I opted for the drag bars with no rise and a small pull back. They are also a bit longer, but can be trimmed to fit. I removed 2.5 inches from both side, I would only take 1.5 if I started over, but too late now. It takes some patients to get the final position right as now the grips do not touch the tank, but the button box can touch if not in the right position, and the levers can touch the mirrors if not in the right spot. The end result is great, the riding position I find much more comfortable. I have much more room near the tank. It is tighter near the faring(at the the mirror), but in riding you never turn the bars that far. I have am includding pictures.

Good work. I've never taken a bar off. How hard was it to remove the stock bar and all the bits? Is it longer than the stock bar? If so, how has that affected your riding. As you can tell I'm interested in this mod thanks

bars
the new bar is about 8 inches longer, 4 on each side. I cut off 2.5 inches from each side, if I did it again I would only cut 1.5 inches. The bar is easy to remove, remove the caps from the allen bolts that hold the clamps, remove the bolts and the bar is off, the controls are only held by a few screws. All in all it is easy, the tough thing is adjusting the position of the controls to get the clearances from the tank and the mirors and the angles on the levers you want . PM me if you need more info
