but loud pipes do nothing than put you on the outs with your neighbors.
Maybe you've never ridden on the road to notice that you cant hear a bike till it passes you.. and thats only with the windows down. I realize that most sport bike riders picked up their bike after seeing Biker Boyz or whatever and are just trying to look cool. Unfortunately in those kind of crowds.. cool but inaccurate info gets passed about. Just trying to drop some truth on it.
Anyway i'm done.. I was looking for something else when i stumbled on that post in a google search. Deleting this bookmark from my browser never to be viewed again..

b bye.....maybe someone should start a "ban vote" so that collectively we can wash our hands of this whole experience. Moderators have their hands tied too tight with their warning proceedures and such.

Would that really do anything other than infuriate the person and make them sign on under multiple bogus screen names just to post more crap?
It's probably better just to ignore him and he will get bored and go away.
Actually, I think I saw an ignore user feature somewhere around here...

That was truly strange. A one year bump with an off topic rant by a crazed Hawaiian newbie, and then pooof he's gone.

He's been hit with a Troll warning and a Leading2Flame warning. Hopefully he will start to posting threads that are an actual contribution to the forum, and not just stirring stuff up. I probably will be deleting the off topic posts.

I agree, it's a big safety issue, dual low beams. Not a good idea.
On high beam they are so bright, the light merges and it appears as one, unless you are really close.

OK, but how about Goldwings, BMW bikes, bunch of sportbikes of different makes, ATV. Are you saying that their desiners have not realized that there is an issue.
It looks like one low-beam light is not enoupgh during a day time. It's obvious. It's hardly seen if you are facing the bike being a little to the left of it. But both on after mod is not good either. What's a solution?

yep. always assume that person waiting at the stop sign up ahead doesnt even see you.
honestly i havent ever had a problem distinguising between a bike with 2 lights up close and a car far off, and i have terrible depth perception at night. i am more likely to confuse a bike with one light and a car with a light burnt out (especially around here).

Well, this goes without a question. But yet I would like to add something technical to my bike for more assurance...
Let me throw an idea. I moded my lights to work the way they work in cars - 2 low-beams or 2 high-beams. What if I install one medium sized driving or fog light right under the front faring panel and hard wire it to low-beam.
Also, I think, modulator connected to this light would not be a bad thing.
What do you think?

If you want more visability that sounds like it would be the way to go. The modulator would definatly get you some extra attention too. Any ideas you how would you go about mounting it to the bottom of the fairing? Just wondering.
