Post these pics so we can help you decide... I see what you`re saying about the angle, but still think it will look more natural if you tilt it down just a bit more... then again, if you prefer it like that, leave it! cheers

Well my choices are: keep my current tank and have my friend fix it for me (including the dent + re-paint) for around $200...

Or buy a new tank, and have it painted black... the paint job will probably cost me around $100... so unless you can do $100 or a little above, it doesn`t make sense to me... but for that price it may not make sense to you either...

That'd be the most expensive option, but not by much and I`d have a new tank... I`ll have to think about it, but it is not my priority right now... I feel bad ass riding a bike that went through a crash, so I`ll keep the scar marks for a little while

Seat cowl arrived today!!!

So did the tank.

Couldn't get an entire shot of the bike in b/c my truck was in the way. LOL

I called up M4 and it looks like I'm not getting the exhaust until God knows when, so I'll probably go ahead and bolt the FAZR6 FE on this weekend.
RAM mount short arm, locking knob, and aluminum plate were ordered yesterday and should arrive early next week.

I thought that was strange also. I could've sworn that the logo was under the clear coat on the factory tank, but I guess not.

Oh well, the more black the better.

I finally got a chance to take the bike out for a ride since removing the fairing. The wind didn't bother me at all, even at 80MPH. In fact, the ride was much more comfortable w/o the fairing than with it b/c I wasn't getting all of that turbulent air coming off the windshield in my face.

The black tank will go on on either Wednesday or Thursday. A friend that works at the local Yamaha dealership is going to help me get the fuel pump off.

Black is back baby!

I swapped the tank and it's parts (fuel pump, gas cap, etc) on Thursday.

And here's a teaser of what I've been doing this morning....
Gotta run to Lowes right quick since the bolts that M4 supplied are causing some clearance issues with the grab bar cowling. Details

Oh yeah, these pipes are fucking LOUD at idle, and I haven't even touched the throttle yet. They have an extremely deep tone and look awesome.

I'll post some pics of the bike completely assembled with the new pipes after I get back from the hardware shop and mount everything back up.

I used some M6 x 20mm pan head slotted bolts that have a pretty low profile and the grab bar slid right on with no problems whatsoever.
I still need to paint the forks, rad. cover, and finish up with the last few coats of clear on the front fairing. I'm also planning on removing the light reflectors on the forks and the sticker on the swing arm.

I made a walk-around video today that turned out pretty good, but forgot to cover my license plate number.
I'll do another one the next time I take it out for a ride.
