They don't need resistors to blink, but they will probably flash faster than the stock ones since the power draw is lower. I haven't had a chance to test them out though, so I'm not 100% sure. I haven't seen any electrical specifications on them.
The threads for the mirrors are 10mm. I'm not sure if that's standard on the naked model or not since we don't have those over here.
They're made of plastic, but I don't expect them to fall apart on me or anything. They seem like they are constructed pretty well. I haven't ridden my bike since I put them on, so I can't comment about any vibrations or how well the mirrors work. I'll post my thoughts on them after I get off of work and go for a short ride.
Hey man, this place was quiet without you last week.
Here's the current schedule:
Tomorrow - remove front fairing, install mirrors, install headlight/brackets, re-wire the harness
This week - add the final 3 coats of clear to the fairing,
Next weekend - install the M4 exhaust, seat cowl, and fender eliminator; sand out the orange peel and polish KMP fairing
I'm also waiting for the black fuel tank that I ordered from Ronayers to arrive, but I have a feeling that it won't here until late next week or the week after that.
I just saw your crash thread. Those last pics almost brought a tear to my eye. It's sad to see something like that happen to such a beautiful bike. I'm looking forward to your next rebuild thread though.
Sounds great... you are a patient man though if I had all the parts they`d be on the bike already...somehow
Right now, I am already sad that I have to take the car to work for 6 or 7 days waiting for the new headlight
I am looking forward to seeing you complete your project.
What can I say? I'm a lazy SOB.
If those pipes and seat cowl were here, I'd have those on as soon as I could tear the packages open and grab my toolbox. It's still a waiting game though. I e-mailed Pipecity this morning to check on the tracking # for me, so hopefully some good news will come out of that.
I've had to drive my truck to work a lot lately too because it's been raining so much. Hopefully it will let up so I can start to ride again. I'm commuting 60 miles a day, so gas prices are starting to take a toll. $55 to fill up a tiny Chevrolet S-10...
Planning on anything crazy for your rebuild like stripes/graphics or are you going completely stealth?
I think I am going to remain all black for now, but I do like the headlight with a vertical white strip splitting through it, so I may end up trying that with the stripe continuing on the tank... we`ll see.
I must have really bad luck with ordering parts or something (lost orders, delayed items, etc).
The fork brackets that Flyncycle sent are the wrong size.
I measured the I.D. and they are 41mm instead of the 43mm that I ordered. So it looks like I'll be giving them a call on Monday and asking them to resend the right size clamps.
The entire front end has been removed, horn relocated under the triple, and the mirrors attached. I also rotated the brake and clutch levers up more so that they don't point towards the ground. Holding the clutch in for a long time is a lot easier now since it reduced the distance to grab the lever and put it in a more natural position for my hand. I really like the mirrors though and think they will fit the look of the bike pretty good.
I'll probably start re-wiring the harness in a few minutes and remove the speedo from the beheaded Fazer after that.
Enough of my blabbering, onto the pics.
LOL i didnt realize you had the flyncycle mirrors with the signals on it. I was thinking about buying those but wasnt sure about the intensity of the leds. So I ended up getting the standard non blinker ones and buying another set of Rizoma signals. I just finished up my naked conversion over the weekend. I'll post pictures up in the next few days.

I'm considering to stripe my bike also. If you stripe it, you should go from the headlight all the way to the back seat fairings.

I thought about getting the non-LED version and some fork mounted signals, but I ended up deciding that the bike would look less cluttered if I went with the all-in-one solution. I'm not so much worried about the intensity of my front signals as I am the back since that is where motorcyclists are most vulnerable.
I won't be adding any resistors or a relay to the rear LED signals to slow the blink rate down. They're more noticeable when they flash twice as fast and I think they look pretty cool like that as well.
^^ looks great Serraph! I think you need to tilt the headlight down a little bit though... you`re light beam is probably hitting your ceiling as it is now
Memories are coming back though no news on the black tank? are you selling your red tank? how much?

I'm glad you like it.
I still need to play around with the position of the headlight. I lowered the beam as low as it could go but haven't been able to test it out since I don't have the wiring harness finished yet. I'm hoping I don't have to move it down though since I like how the angle of the headlight matches the other lines on the bike (see below). It makes the bike look more aggressive and streamlined when it's pointing straight out. I'm planning on taking some profile shots with the headlight at different angles later on to help me decide.
My tank is still "awaiting fullfillment - step 2", but all of my previous orders from Ronayers came pretty fast so I have a feeling it will be here next week sometime.
I'll probably end up listing the tank for $200+shipping since it only has 300 miles on it. I think it costs around $360 from the cheapest OEM reseller.
