Naked Update - FZ1N Headlight Initiative
Good news! I think I'll be able to mod the FZ1N bracket to get the FZ1 naked headlight to work. So I asked Burlington to ship the rest of the kit. Should have it by next weekend I hope.
Incorporated some other goodies too! TCP seat cowl, Puig chin fairing and I painted the side covers after my failed attempt at covering them with carbon fibre. The CF project worked well, but the look just wasn't great because it clashes with the perf'd seat. Might of been a "good" reason to look into a corbin but I like the stock seat.
I plan on making a carbon fibre chain guard this weekend and will try to do it in a way that saves the stocker as a mold - if I have leftover I'll let you know.
Random pics of progress, the FZ1N bracket (the speedo fits!), and a mockup with the FZ1N headlight.
Another aftermarket pair of parts is stuck in customs at the moment. More posts over the next couple of weeks...

hey tom you going all black for the naked? if you are before you go ahead and paint those grab rails, you might wanna trade them with someone with an 06 black grab rails. (i've been looking to do this, but unfortunately i've got a blue 06). btw, the progress looks great, I can't wait to see the finished product.

The FZ1N headlight looks the best among all the naked headlights I have seen. Why did you go with black belly pan and seat cowl?

I'm not into the all-red parts look so much. Might paint the front fender black too so that the tank and handrails pop.

Optima Radiator Panels
The Optima panels came in today. They are made of fiberglass and the install is all of 5 minutes. Something different. Whadayathink?
FZ1 headlight will be in on Wednesday so that install will start shortly.
