cool, yours is alot cleaner than mine, but eh, mine works for me haha!
my throttle cable wasnt to bad, i just wondered if you had a better solution
doesnt your light jiggle around with just the upper mounts in use? i used the 2 upper mounts, and drilled a lower mount to support the lights weight, its very stable, i just wondered if yours was
You bought a K4? when? lol that would be funny shit... I ordered a K5, but they shipped the wrong one... read above
Thats you Christmas gift bro
I didn't bought K4 - i bought the gixxer headlight for 40$ of Ebay, and will have time till April to make the fairing of fiberglass. Net savings of 700$
If california was closer i'd buy you a keg of your favorite and would borough the fairing for a day to make a mold using your fairing.

Yes, I like to spend a little extra time cleaning it up
The weight of the headlight is on the L brackets, but I am using a couple of zip ties to adjust the angle of the headlight, and to anchor it solid. I`ll eventually have better side brackets made, but for now this is fine. I could not find a proper spot for drilling the headlight... the side planes are angled and do not match any mounting point.

Well, technically I`ll only end up paying $400 for mine
So the gixxer headlight you bought is the same as the one used on the K4? I am eager to see your fiber glass job on your headlight.... if you indeed can make it look good for virtually no cost, you'll be stoked... and me a little pissed hehe
If you create a mold, you should crank out a bunch of them and sell them in here... you`d probably find a bunch of buyers...
If you need me to take rough dimensions on the mini-fairing let me know.
Well i'm no pro at making molds - just handy man. Also i closely know couple people wo make gliders at the factory nearby. They do a hell of a work to make these things go but it is awesome what they do. They make these 20+ feet molds for the gliders, so making mold for headlight is no big thing. Maybe two full workdays, and if i had it i'd do it in couple hours. They sell their stuff all over the world. If i had your mini fairing i'd cook fairings like pancakes but its just too much of PITA to do it since California is kinda far far far away. Besides i only need one
As for people wanting to buy fairings - well whats the point to have alike looking bikes. If there are two of them its fine, but 20 nahhhh.
K4 is the one i bought. Well just the actual suz headlight of crashed suzuki.
OSO2K as for your tail it is easy to do it yourself. I am 1000% sure you could do it yourself since you got so far with FZ6 track bike project. All you need is some play dough (or alike stuff to make primary form on the bike), 20+ SQ feet of fiberglass, 1/2 quart of epoxy and two days of labor its custom work, it will be unique and you'll have satisfaction of doing it yourself.

I love how it looks on your bike. Little big, but i can live with that. It looks mean, like some sort of F16 nose or smth mine won't be ready for two month at least. Unless it gets to <=20F i am riding in the woods at any spare time i get from work, home, taking care of baby, drinking beer. So basicly i dont have any spare time at all. It should get here before february and should be mounted by end of march, as there still will be plenty of snow on the road and negative temperatures. Riding season doesnt staqrt till 1 af april or so but i will be able to rip it in the woods and mud as a compensation
Congrats on the best looking fizzer on SBN

What's sweet about the K4 (was not on the K5) is the 2 manual levers in the back (bottom corners, where easily accessible even when the headlight is on the bike), which allow vertical adjustment of the beams... that was a great help since my headlight is angled up a bit.
I won`t have time to ride down to SD in the next couple of weeks... you`re gonna be visiting your mom?

Let me know dreambuilder... if I am available, I am always up for a ride
rsw81, it was really good to meet you today Glad to get rid of some of those front fairing parts
I changed the front brackets of the headlight this pm... I used the original brackets that came with my first K5 (from KMP) and cut them down + flattened them + drilled them to make them fit the L-shapped brackets (mentioned in the video). They look beat up, but now I can angle the headlight enough to get a proper beam angle to the road. It had to go down in the front quite a bit... Then I adjusted with the manual levers and it's perfect now.
I`ll have them machine me new brackets at my work later.
The primer was painted on the the headlight mini-fairing and it was prepped for paint... can`t wait for tomorrow night!
