Dude, you should have gotten it from german ebay, rather than some overpriced french store... sry.
but check out this ebay link
KOSO TACHO RX1N DIGITAL GP Tacho, Drehzahlm. Quad + ABE bei eBay.de: Quad-Teile (endet 03.04.08 10:28:58 MESZ)

in stores you find it from 168€ i think...

Well, Koso just changed their speedo configurations recently, adding critical functionalities which make it work on the FZ6 (tach did not work on previous model), so I did not want to take the risk of buying on Ebay...

Thanks though! :-)

some really sweet shots!!
especially like that one, makes me think "hmmm, alex, i does look kind cool naked..."

but now that i did so many steps in the process i`m gonna finish my as i planned, though that side-look of your machine loks really sexy, it does not look like you just kinda attached something, but got a smooth harmonic and from an aesthetical point of view nice flowing form!

a post or two above you talked about "adding critical functionalities which make it work on the FZ6 (tach did not work on previous model)" what are tehse exacty?
could you please drop me a Pm if it is too OT for the thread, because i`m really considering the coso to go with my mod, being that cheap so i`d like to know how to find out if it would work with my fz6^^

getting the original r6 speedo to work would be sweetest, but you think that can be done?

Thanks for the compliment Alex!

About the KOSO, I am currently in a discussion with 3ppl in France who bought their RX1N about a year ago, and at that time, the speedo did not have some options that are required to get the tach to work on the FZ6.

To get the tachometer, you need to tap the signal from the positive side of the ignotion coil wire (under the tank), and then set the # of pistons and cycles of your engine in the speedo setting screen... then finally, there's another setting that needs to be changed to "Hi Act." from "Lo Act." in the speedo... else the tach doesn`t work... well, these 3 guys simply don`t have that setting in their RX1N... so their tach doesn`t work... and they`ve been complaining to KOSO for months... asking me for unit SN + Date Code etc... to make a case with Koso....

Anyway, long story short, the new ones work for the FZ6... not the old ones. The questions is, how do you determine whether it`s a "new configuration" and not an old one...

Bottom line, either take the risk and go with ebay, or buy it from the website I posted above and you know it`ll work.

Wavex man you are one awesome cat, as I've just finished reading this entire thread and you have purely motivated me. I'm the same maverick1970 from the FZ6 forum and stumbled upon this website and have to say that you are my mentor/God. I had my FZ6 for sale, but after seeing what you and others have done to our bike, I've taken my bike off the market with a new vision based on what you've done. The entire concept of a Street Fighter was unknown to me until I saw your bike. The time you've taken to document everything has made me a bit more confident that I can do it, and even if I run into problems, at least I can contact you and other on the forum for help. MEGA KUDOS again man on your dedication!!!! You have truly inspired me.

Jeremy

Yeah, wavex is a professional at Streetfightering Fizzer's, but he has a new project now. He has a pretty good eye for naked's as long as the rubber sides stays down. Good luck maverick & welcome.
