Wave, was wondering this for sometime. Since you use it as a daily commuter, what do you do when you have to carry some luggage? Not a whole lot but say a backpack full of stuff.

I tighten the shoulder straps tight, which makes the back pack sit high on my back Sometimes the backpack will sit on the seatcowl... never hurt it, but I try to avoid heavy loads.

I also have a tank bag which can hold a helmet.

Not until you install your Rearset Set Back Plates that I'm picking up today.

lol Oso sweet! I was actually referring to the passenger peg brackets (connecting the subframe to the pegs) for the camcorder

So at a light this morning I initiated a timer test on the Koso... I should have done the 0-60mph test, but ended up chosing the 1/4 mile test... 17.34seconds!!! top speedo 51mph I had to cap my speed since I was passing a school zone

The interface of the speedo is excellent and it's very easy to access the different options and timers very quickly... really cool.

I`ll play with it again this wkd, maybe with the camcorder mounted on the tank

that speedo looks sick, i think you are better off with the clock face RPM, i think digital for RPM would kinda blow, would be bothersome.

Bro I have to say, I am some difficulties understanding what you write

First you say "i think you are better off with the clock face RPM, i think digital for RPM would kinda blow, would be bothersome"

then you say "i like the fz6 stock gauge alot! its digital with the "climbing" feel!"

So which one is it, you prefer digital or analog rpm gauge?

FYI, the pre '07 FZ6 speedos had digital rpm gauges, and it went to analog with the '07 and '08...

Wavex, were the gauges hard to fit ?

:O, from what i can see doesnt the FZ6 speedo have a digital reading that runs around the outside of it, so it gives you the same look and feel of the oldschool speedo but just digital instead of a needle O.o

The koso was really not hard to fit at all... I expected a lot of problems, but with the help of Moldmaker, we got it done relatively quickly. Basically, you need to know a couple of tricks for the rpm & fuel gauges, but everything else was pretty straight forward. Note: I am missing the engine warning light and oil pressure indicator. But the koso does come with two temp sensors that you can fit anywhere (I did not use any of them).

About the mileage, the recommended approach is to go to your local mechanic before you swap the speedo, and ask him to give you a certificate of mileage... but of course, since I don`t plan to ever sell my FZ, I did not do it (I just know I had about 10k miles on it before swapping).

Yes sir, the '06 and prior year FZs had digital rpm gauges as you described above... the '07 and '08 have a "niddle" rpm gauge.
