Default Leo Vince install weirdness

Got the leo vince pipes installed. The alignment and fittment is pretty crappy if you ask me ,but I got them installed.

One question for the other folks that did this...

The stock cat pipe had a flange that bolts to the rubber mount thing right behind the brake fluid reservoir. The new cat pipe has as similar flange but its not even close to line up with the stock mount, its got to be about 3 inches off at least. I just left it disconnected as it seems super solid without it anyways, but just wondering what other folks did?

I can't imagine leo vince expects that to fit, its really not close at all.

i'm not really sure but off the top of my head, you go the 07 cat pipe right? I remember there being a few posts/pics about how the cat pipes were different because of an O2 sensor and length.

Yeah, I'll probably call em, Although without the exhaust touching the frame it may vibrate less. Its very solid even without the bracket connected.

The pipe for my lasers doesnt even have a tab to mount to that spot. It'll be fine without it.

Mine fit nice and snug, you have to get them just right to get it all matched up. Mine at the most was one inch away until I moved the fittings around to get it right. Why leave it half-assed if you paid for something to fit right? If you ignore it now and let it go you are going to get annoyed with it sometime and by then you will be sol.

Its just as solid as the stock unit was, my cat pipe definately will not fit no matter how much I play with it. its a good 3-4 inches off.

What about if you decide to sell the bike? I wouldn't just settle for something wrong if you paid over $500 for it.

That is a very good point...

I'll call em and see what they can do for me, it'll be a pain in the ass to get that pipe out now

Fitted them to my 07 FZ6 S2 and it was a perfect fit ! I'm not that mechanically minded but even I managed to get them in alone and they look sweet !!

Are they really really loud and super buzzy sounding at any rpm below 4000?

By the sound if it you have the older version setup for the 06 or older instead of the Leos for the 07 model with would take care of that extra spacing.

This happened to me too - I had the 2006 and down part which has a shorter cat pipe. Look in the exhaust thread for more explanation. Leo Vince has great customer service - they advanced shipped me an entire replacement set with return labels for free.
