I was looking into buying some paint at the hobby shop made for tinting RC car bodies, and using it on the 07's windshield. see how it would turn out. So this evening i picked some up an some Tint and some black paint just incase i didnt like how it looked tinted. i tested the tint on some plexiglass, and its pretty hard to get an even coat, no matter how many light coats you apply, expecially when painting a larger surface area like the windshield. So i decided to use the outlaw black i bought. i scuffed the inside of the shield, cleaned it with rubbing alcohol, and masked off the outer edges and the upper lip. It turned out pretty good for $5. Sooner or later i may buy a puig shield, but this looks pretty sexy as is. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXCY44&P=ML http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXCY13&P=7
I had used the tint i bought on the clear signal lights that came with the twobro's. after masking it off i sprayed it on the inside of the lense. The light shines completely through. i could have went alittle lighter on the tint, but it still doesnt effect the brightness.
For those of you with a SLOWER blue bike ;)... http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXCY26&P=7
This stuff may look pretty darn good! ive used it on an rc body, its meant to be backed with silver, but when left alone(just the blue it's self), it's transparrent. can be easily seen right through. cant hurt to test on something see if you like it.
