I see you opted for the new green biorubber, how is that working out for you? I hear its really slippery if its not warmed up.

I opted for the beltsander versions, but wondering if I should have gone with the biorubbers...

They really helped me keep the bike more upright...less draggin of hard parts. Have you dragged your sidestand? I just realized that I have (not sure when) and that really sucks.

Ghetto compost style tire warmers. A little harder to come by than the sandbelt style but worth all the effort.

i can`t wait for everything to get started Oso!
today i had testwise put on a race fairing of an 03 R6 and it fit queite well, need some work though, but is definetely do-able...
will post pictures soon, if you don`t mind, otherwise, i`ll just use the ther thread i created some time ago;-)

to all the others:

i also do not think it`s all about buildng the best possible track bike, it`s ainly about having fun modding something... and maybe making it look better ;-)
like with my Golf Mk4, putting on the R32 skirt, cleaning out the sides and the back, making it appear as one aprt, having whole car repainted...of course won`t make me go any faster at all, and some people even may think "hat an idiot" but it brings a smile to my face, everytime i sit in my car and go on a cruise" ;-) an that`s what i think is most important, that you are happy with thje things you do..^^

an an FzR6 would look awesome...
it`s not abput getting faster it`s abput having the pros of the Fz6 (riding position, anti lock brakes for me here in germany which simply are not available on R6) on a bike with the superior looks of the R6 ;-)

plus my fz6 was like 6300€ .... maybe another 500-600€ for the R6 mod...
an R6 would have been abput 10.000€
plus no 400-600 km tour on it withput getzing sore etc...so you know, just want the loks and teh sheer fun of modding , creating kind a hybrid of , taking bets of both worlds...

Not really. My understanding is that the radial mount brake lever is for clearance adjustability (from the grip). I guess the Pazzos fit that bill, but they also fit my R6S () and I haven't decided if they'll still go on the FZ6 or if they'll go on the R6S. We'll see once I get my clip-ons installed. I'm hoping to have some time to work on the bike on Thursday night.

heres the pictures that go along with it...^^

looks allready pretty nice I think, maybe i can be done with everything ni like 2-3 weeks...I´ll try..^^

Wow! That looks really great. I wonder how far out the fairing stay will push the upper?

yeah me too!
unfortunately i did not have any to test with
i just removed the standart Fz6 stay, in order to be able to put the upper at least a little bit on, i think with the R6 stay the upper will/would be
about 1,5 to two inches move backwards towards the tank, that could not be accomplished, since of course i coudn´t just cut that guys racing fairing ;-)

I´m thinking about ordering one...
i mean racing fairing...
around here a R6 Racing fairing for the 03-05 Model frm a cheap online order service would eb aroun 159€
that be , hmmm € to $ 1,36...
so.. 216$.... not that bad i guess...
will probably go for it, but also keep an eye open on german ebay for an R6 stay that also might be damaged, since i have to cut off /weld on it a little (actually not me, but a friend could do that)

we`ll see^^

I bought a CobraSkinz R6 Front and Rear for $325 shipped (I also got him to substitute an R1 rear instead of a R6 rear for that price). I would think that $216 would be on target for just the front.

Why are you going to spend $120 on a rear brake rotor? Will it drop a lot of weight? How about the front rotors? My back end is routinely in the air at the track (front end is dropped too much I think) and I only have the EBC HH pads with SS lines...I have stock rotors. Weight again?

I'm shopping for a rear shock and rear sets.......
Update....I noticed that GPTechLLC lists what they call "Set-back Plates" under ValterMoto Rearsets page. At $85, this might be a cheap way to get better peg position. Otherwise I'm looking at $280 for Type 1.5 or over $400 for Rizomas.

I'm curious how the setback plates will affect the linkage etc.? I sent them an e-mail asking if they have them for the FZ6. If they fit maybe would could get a group buy going.

Sounds like a plan. I meant to send them an email but I've been busy today.
