Alright, I got the wire harness pretty much done: headlight low/high beams are working, turn signals are up and running, speedometer is all plugged in and I get indicators working for the signals/headlight and neutral... but I have one problem... the main indicator for speed, rpms & fuel/time/water temperature is down... I don`t get anything... even when I start the bike I don`t get the usual check up of the indicators... Anyone has any idea? could it be a fuse?
Nevermind that, it was indeed the fuse... didn't know there was a fuse for the odometer!
OK conversion is pretty much complete... just waiting for the handlebar clamps to mount the rizoma beautiful mirrors (should get here early next week), and I`ll be done!
I`ll post pics in a few...

I think you've got the rubber straps for the headlight mounted backwards. I'm pretty sure the metal hook part should be on the inside. I had to use needlenose pliers to get it latched.

hehe I was wondering about that too... but if you look at the acerbis mounting instructions, that's how they show it... thanks though I`ll definitely try it the other way around...

I don't think I looked at the instructions. This is how it looks on mine. Excuse the mess. I'm away from home and any tools so I just threw everything together using a shit ton of zip ties. It's real sturdy though. I've got a pretty good idea how to mount the speedo better too. I'm just to lazy. And cheap. I tried to do it as cheaply as possible. I'm pretty sure I paid less than 200 dollars for everything. I'm gonna have to try killernoodles way of mounting the blinkers too.
It's a lot more fun to ride now isn't it? It made it feel like a totally different bike to me. I love it.

nice... I love the way my speedo is mounted... those 2 handle bar clamps were cheap, and with 2 rubber grommets ($2.00 at Home depot) to cancel the vibration buzz it's perfection for me... you can adjust it up and down and it looks good.
I spent a little more than $200 on the conversion, but we live only once!
Indeed I love to ride without the fairing... the bike feels a lot lighter and easier to throw left and right... I was born and raised in France and moved out here a few years ago, I knew I wanted a naked bike and was pissed to see Yamaha didn`t sell the FZ6N version here... oh well, it was fun to convert myself!
I agree to a certain extend... too low does not look good either imo... However, I did remove the horn from the bottom clamp and re-mounted it behind the number plate, keeping the original bracket and using the same mounting screw as the handlebar wire guide bracket (if you see what I mean)... makes the bottom much cleaner.
Both of the bikes looks nice. That is why I am doing the same with mine. I am waiting the parts, just order on saturday.
I get the acerbis that looks like yours( the model before I think) both headlights are the same size, the handlebar I already changed to a 7/8th Protaper ( dirtbike), but now I am questioning myself of how I will support my speedometer, I didnt took a part yet (I am waiting for the parts get here so I can still ride it) so I dont know how will be. I think I will have to make a bracket, and a second one for the turnsignals too, I can't wait to ride after done, will be fun !

nice check my first post, you`ll see cheap speedo handlebar clamps that should work for your handlebar too.. add a couple of rubber grommets and you`ll be set!
Post pics when u`re done!
