Default Im Naked With Pics

pics added

well it was a battle but the naked conversion is almost complete
i need to do the mirrors and do the back cover
heres what you need to expect if doing this mod
a friend from the U.K. got it for me
the price with 17.5%sellstax came out to a nice $607.00 (us)
then theres about a hundred bucks for duty/shipping
so will say $707.00 ( headlight and side covers/mount)
i needed to make a lower mount which is easy (bend 1/8steal drill holes)
the mirrors are going to run about $17 a piece plus one handle bar mount$9.00
the other side with the brake resvor can be drilled and tapped for the mirror

theres not much room behind the headlight trying to hide every wire, relay,
and thottle/cluch cable suck ...you need alot of zip ties...took the most time
hours on hours the problem i had was the thottle cable wound bind up
if you turn the wheel and would not close.....so if you take a turn your thottle
will get stuck at whatever rpm your at..that sucks ..but now its great
as for wiring you need to move the brightlight wire yellow/black ithink
to the top part of the h4 bulb.......oh and as for the turnsignals i reused the old ones fit like a glove but i cut the wire that leaves the light on all the time
wire is blue(lt) & blue/red(rt)
now for the best part the headlight looks FUKKIN sweet and its bright
the bike feels faster and lighter ..its that on empty(fuel) feel but with a full tank of gas.......wheelies are easier and you can see in front of you
people stopped waving at me because there looking at the bike to hard
and for the weird part my brother jumped on it and was shifting the gears
with out the clutch pulled in....engine off......and now it shifts like magic very
smooth.....one more thing nose dive is alot better ....and by better i mean not
at all....unless i really hit it......

now for some help?????????????
1. if the gauges are disconnected do they need adjusted/reset?
( 80mph feels slower)
2. what is the little bulb for on the headlight its like a 5watt bulb?
(does it need a switch or does it stay on alll the time
thanks for reading sorry its long......and yes i WILL POST PICS LATER TONITE

If I remember correctly, the small bulb is a "parking light". In Europe, if you leave your vehical parked on the street at night, you have to leave a light on. The use those low wattage bulbs to do it. Obviously you don't need that light here, so you can come up with some other interesting thing to do with it.

Oh and

it's sooo beautiful. and I thought it coudn't be done for cheap... well - not taht ~$800 is cheap, but still. How long did it take you to get parts in from the time you ordered them?

Think you could post some parts lists (everything you needed to do this), maybe with parts numbers and a breakdown of costs?

It would be really sweet if you could make a writeup on it, much like the other "higher lever" mods...

looking so good. *drool

each bolt........theres no kit...
it took 3 days for yama euro to get the parts in about 4 days to ship
it was searched in customs....twice.......so about a week

This looks like the standard naked FZ6 I've seen pictured in the U.K. cycle magazine. What they showed as the FZ6 Faser has the farring etc. that we're used to in the U.S.
In fact they rated the (2) versions differently giving the naked version a higher performance review.
Is the naked version only avialable in Europe? Why is the performance different?
