first of all, thank you for your quick reply, since I am now in PANIC MODE.
i don't think the "relief area" was ever there before I installed the axle. The original R6S axle doesn't have this relief area, does it?????
I can't remember. I doubt it does. The R6/R6S doesn't have the washers we need for the mod.
The wheel never felt loose and the braking was great.
I checked the axle out on a sheet of glass. It doesn't seem bent.

I bet if you look at it the washer doesn't appear to be "worn" on the inside, and the surface you're showing doesn't really look like the washer was spinning, as the metal would probably appear kinda marred/smeared, not nice and clean like it was machined.
In order for it to have spun, the bolt at the opposite end of the axle would've had to been loose still when you tightened down the pinchbolts on the fork. I would think you could feel that, as the wheel whould've been a little loose.
As long as you put it back together right you should be just fine. Just make sure that the axle end bolt is pinching the washers & wheel together tightly, prior to tightening the pinch bolts on the lower fork.

Oh crap, so this is normal?
I have no idea when my front axle is going to break on me?

So do you think the axle and washer was NOT spinning, and that maybe the indentation was cause by the hardness of the SS washer on the softer axle?
My concern is that the indentation will get bigger and bigger, until: SNAP!!!

I don't know of anyone who has had their axle or axle sleeve snap. If you're concerned, you can always buy a new axle. It's a $34 part from RonAyers for an axle.

no one sells the adapters currently. You can have a set machined up for you if you know of a shop that can do it. If you need the specs and stuff go to FZ6 - R6 Fork Mod to download all the info you'll need..

Reviving this old thread again...
Does anyone have a drawing for the 07+ fender tabs? I believe the ones in the link above are only for the 04-06. A bunch of the old webshots/flickr pics links are no longer valid. Thanks!

PM me your email address and I'll send you drawings and CAD models. You'll LOVE the R6 fork on there. SO much better!!!
I no longer have my 6 though... I crossed over to the litre side No regrets either!
