it looks like an fz6 with a bigger engine. If I were looking for a bigger I4 bike, I would just get the fz1

At least they got rid of that ugly and heavya$$ underseat exhaust of the FZ6. Looks like the FZ8 might be lighter in weight than FZ6.

Ugly? No more so than that can in the photos. As for heavy, that is not a fault of underseat exhaust, just the design they went with.

They could have done without the plastic shroud around the muffler though...

i think underseat exhausts are much nicer looking that big honking cans on the side of a bike. It definitely takes a lot of design cues from the FZ1... doesn't LOOK like a gamechanger to me but maybe the package as a whole is....

Hmmm.... FZ8 or FJR for me someday? Hmmm.......

Ugly is just an opinion.. heavy is not fault.. just fact. I rather have an ugly exhaust than an heavy one... seems to me poor design if it is designed to be heavy.

Well in that case, the FZ6 was a poorly designed bike, because not all that excess weight of the bike can't be attributed to the exhaust.

Another thing, WRT ugly vs heavy. On the FZ6, I can fix heavy. Drop the muffler and just add a section of pipe out the back. Ugly is not always as easy to fix and is usually way more expensive.

Ive always liked the looks of the fz1 so I think its for the better. It does suck loosing the under seat exhaust though. Is there any definite on what the motor will be?

IT is mostly a sleeved down FZ1 much in the theme of the Z750/1000. Still kept that crap, girly, catty looking stock FZ6 fairing though.

You are an idot. The underseat exhaust is the best thing about the 6.

The new can is ugly!

WTF? The FZ6's under seat exhaust is ugly and the FZ1\FZ8's is attractive. How is life on Bizzaro World?
