FZ1For the rider who likes sportbike performance but prefers more comfortable ergonomics. The FZ1 offers a more traditional upright seating position, yet sacrifices nothing in terms of engine and handling performance.
Hi Fred,
Nice to virtually meet you!
I reside in San Diego and own a blue 2001 FZ1 with 27k miles on it.
I'm getting on in years, the FZ is the perfect solution.
You've prolly heard it before, "A R1 crotch rocket for the old guys".
Today, around thirteen of us FZ1 west coasters (SoCal)
got together for a meet & greet at a place called "Tom's Farms"
in Corona California. We had lunch and shot the bull,
admired each others rides as well as the hot-rods and Harleys
that gather there. A good time was had by all!

I'm in central Kansas. Am riding an 06 fz1 with a 89 v-max awaiting some serious work
I am going to go through the whole motor due to to much drag racing. I spun a bearing on the crank. I couldn't go through the riding season without a bike so I got the fz1 to satisfy my tarmac cravings.
So far I am quite pleased. I have had it about 3.5 weeks and put on 1800 miles. I'm self imployed so I don't get to ride as much as I would like to. I may be riding to Denver, Co. area to get some air this weekend if I don't get called out for work.
