Warning For any I-4 riders near Haines City/Auburndale
Just a warning that the local FHP has been running a major driving award program on I-4 Exit 44 in the mornings around 830am -9Am and around Exit 60 in the afternoons during rush hour. Both events have been on the East bound lanes. I mean major as in at least 10 cop cars nailing people one after the other. At exit 44 they sit on the on ramp but someone from the other side of the overpass is clocking you, or its aircraft, not sure which.
Since my truck goes from 0-60mph in about 5 miles, I have yet to be caught....
Yesterday, they caused a 4 miles traffic backup from exit 58 to exit 62 heading westbound cause people slowing down wondering whats going on....Most likely I will be sitting in that mess again...

I saw a lot of them on my way home from Auburndale today. They had the airplane out at Mcintosh road too. That's the most time it has ever taken me to get home.

Guys - I commute from South Lakeland to Orlando (John Young/Sand Lake Rd)every day. The cops are out in force and so far I've seen several of the Marauder cars, motorcycles, etc. Needless to say, my commute time is a little longer than usual.
The biggest concentration of cops that I've seen is right where the east end of the Polk Parkway meets I-4. As mentioned, one cop is using radar from the overpass and shooting cars headed westbound. Chase vehicles (motorcycles and patrol cars) are staged on the on-ramp for westbound I-4.
Also, several Polk County and Osceola County patrol cars have been sitting in the median just west of the Disney attractions area.

There were 8 FHP cars this morning in Plant City I-4 area after the weigh staion doing the same thing. Make sure you don't get one of these "AWARDS" With the new laws in place they are cracking down harder to let the public know. Makes the Sunday rides just a little slower. Booooo!

I think I'm going to take my cars to about 1/4 before the radar cop and act like I have a flat tire. Since everyone and there grandma has to stop to see people with flat tires, that will cause traffic to slow down, and waste a bunch of there time
I think they should give tickets for going slower...
