Okay peeps here's the plan. For those that wanna ride out w/ some of us Polk peeps here's the agenda. We (10 of us) will be meeting up at the Amoco off of Highway 27 just south of the East bound I-4 exit. We'll be meeting there at 8am and will head out at 8:30am. That'll give peeps time to gas up and if anyone's running alil late. Also that gives them a 30min cushion on being able to make it. But if you're not there by 8:30... you're left behind. Here's where the Amoco is located off of I-4... See you mofo's Saturday 10/23 for the ride over .
UPDATE!!!
The Amoco may have been changed into a BP station. There'll be some bikes parked near the front entrance. Either way it'll be on the West side of highway 27 next to a restaurant.

Update: We'll stop and eat at one of the finner establishments once we get there. We normally head to Hooters so that's probably were we'll end up to take a break. That'll be around 9:45/10ish give or take some minutes.

Rob,
I don't know what route you plan on taking up there, but Stephen (DogBoneR1) is putting together a ride from tampa aswell.
He was going to use the route we've taken there for the past 3 years.
I will post the route and pm it to DogBone.
Hopefully yall can get on the same page.

Here is the info if you want to set up a good ride there:
Use the link to follow the directions given. It will help out with the ride.
Ride safe.
i wish I could join but I will be coming up from HomeStead
Info:
Here is some details about the trip up: Start Point (Lakeland Harley – I-4 exit #33) MapQuest Link
1. Take 33 north (for approx – 35 miles) to 561 (forks off to right)
There will be a Shell Gas Station about 200yrds prior to 561 (gas up!!)
2. Take 561 (for approx – 35 miles) until it connects with 19 (right turn)
561 - This road will be hard to follow without looking at a map first, for it connects with other roads and connects/crosses hwy27.. See mapquest for details.
3. Take 19 north (for approx – 25 miles) to 445 (right turn)
See Mapquest again; 19 gets a little tricky when it connects and disconnects with 441.
4. Take 445 (for approx – 12 miles) to 40 (right turn)
445 - will connect with 445A (just stay right) before it connects with 40. (see Mapquest)
5. Take 40 east towards I-95 (for approx= 30 miles) go 1 road past I-95 and take a right, this should be about 1 mile and the name of the road should be Williams BLVD. This will bring you out across from the Track and close to Hooters
I know the route you're talking about. Part of it goes through the Ocala National Forrest. Tite route, but a bit too long. I was worn out when we got there. Sweet for curves though.
From the calls that I've received from different groups, there'll be 27 going over. But when you factor in the "WHAT IF" factor (I overslept, wife won't let me go, don't have the $, and other excuses) 15/20 is more accurate. But who knows... w/ the peeps that'll just show up that haven't contacted me it could be well over 30 . Most of these guys are 1st timers so I think that we'll end up going straight there. Thanks for posting that info for me though .

Rob, an alternate route might be a better idea...Remember, the day of going up, traffic will be brutal...James went up last week and it took him almost 4 hours...That's not fun on a bike...
I might be on this trip as well?!?

4hrs. to get to Daytona from Polk County on a bike. If you stop and sleep over on the way there at a friends spot that might be a possibility? Or maybe if the road is stolen, possibly then as well. I've taken I-4 the last 2 bike events via I-4 trailoring my bike and it's only taken alil over a couple of hrs. That was going through Orlando b/w 11am/12pm. And we went through 2 traffic jams b/c of accidents.
**NOTE: We'll be going through Orlando at 9am on a Saturday morning. There'll be traffic, but it won't be too hectic. I guess we'll have to see you bitches up at the Hooters .

If you don't mind paying some tolls, I sometimes take I-4 to 417 to 528 to I-95. No traffic and you don't have to go thru Orlando.
We were thinkin' about doin' this as well. But there are gonna be 20 bikes minimum. Going through the tolls and everyone having to pay will be time consuming as well. And there may be those that don't want to pay the tolls .
