My neighbor "Jesse" passed away today. He was 15. He hadn't even had a chance to live yet.
I'm really broken up.

He was a very good boy from a solid family. He was not a POS like so many punks I've known. He was not into drugs, gangs and violence.
He was a born leader.

He was respectful, honest, intelligent, kind and he loved life. Everyone enjoyed his happy-go-lucky attitude.
He loved to ride anything.
He especially loved to ride horses and was really looking forward to his favorite mare giving birth. Oh how he pampered her.
He loved his Quad.
He loved Bikes and was in awe of my Yamaha Sport Bike.

However he was hard headed and would not listen to us repremand him about riding without a helmet. I was constantly "Ragging" on him to wear one.

He died of massive head injuries which happened as a fluke while he was riding his quad in a dirt field not two blocks from home.

He will be missed. The neighborhood will not be the same without him.

Sorry to hear such BAD news.

This story really, though it might not have changed the outcome, brings light to the use of a helmet.

Do they think if he would have had head protection there would have been a chance for survival.

The Rosary was last night.
The Requiem Mass is this morning.

We are laying him to rest today.

Sad...very sad.

I've NEVER seen so many young folks at a Wake. His GF was totally torn up.
The doctor has sedated his mother because her blood preasure skyrocketed.

This neighborhood will never be the same.
