Default Another senseless death

Guy i went to school with died on friday, ran into the accident scene on friday on my way to pick up my bike in the Twin cities. Little did I know that I knew the guy. Wasn't even his fault.

Wow...I see a trend here with seniors crossing the center line.
Sad to see such a young one go.

I wasnt able to make it to the guys funeral. But one of my friends who knew him better went to the funeral, apparently he died instantly, the impact tore his aorta. Otherwise He might have survived, broke both wrists and his femur. Was wearing gear. They had an open casket.

Cops rarely ticket people who fuck up and cause accidents unless their actions were intentional. Been in quite a few crashes and one where my own car got totaled by a woman makin a left into the side of it .and tearing off front end, ripping engine and transaxle from mount and other good stuff. Lets see, speeding, failure to yield right of way, wreckless driving, and cop simply refused to give the bitch a ticket when i insisted upon it. Didn't wanna burden the guy with paperwork so i stopped pressing the point. Never seen a person in a car ever issued a ticket for a crash they caused in a car. Bikes on the other hand they'll be tucking the tickets for shit ya didn't do under the blanket on the stretcher after crashing with a person making an ILLEGAL U-TURN. ASSHOLES.The only justice i've ever felt gave me satisfaction was some good ole vigilate shit. RIP

RIP to the fallen rider.

They really need to start enforcing continual testing on senior citizens. Its not that we're trying to take the rights away to drive, but there comes a point where elderly shouldnt have the ability to drive. I'm thinkin after a certain age, you shouldnt just be able to walk in and renew your liscence without certain physical tests.
Everyone is taught to be a courteous responsible driver when they're 16 and go through training. New drivers suck due to lack of experience, but they have the foundation through propper training. People get lazy and inconsiderate in the 60 or so years after that small amount of training.

thats just my 5 cents

they probably did ticket the woman, Unless she was acting recklessly it probably isn't even a felony. From what I can tell, she was driving carelessly, most cops won't give reckless tickets unless a person knew what they where doing could hurt someone, and kept doing it.

RIP Brother, now you can ride the golden roads.

It said the road was remaining closed to reconstruct the accident. That tells me they are investigating it to some point.
