sorry to hear about your friend.

Gets me angry hearin about how no charges have been filed, I don't think that would be true if it was the other way around...but I guess thats not the point.

Again sorry to hear about that

Here is the Eulogy I wrote and said at his funeral.

_________________________________________________
I didn’t know what to say about someone whom myself and others considered my little brother. I decided to keep this short because the harsh reality is that while his friends and family hurt, no words can stop his mothers hurt. I hope to never do this again.

When I first heard that my best friend was dead, I cried. Not for him. For his mother and girlfriend. I knew what it meant. Pain. Suffering. Then for days I could not cry. I wondered why I could not cry. Then it hit me. I had given up riding in September. For this exact reason. Alfredo and I rode everywhere together. Side by side. I should be in heaven with him side by side so he isn’t lonely. I should be with him to ride his ass to be the best he can up there. I feel like I compromised myself for the feelings of my family. When I realized that I left him alone. I cried.

What is a life but what you make of it? What is a life if you can’t do the things you would like to do in it? I like to think that Alfredo was smiling as he was riding to work. Some of you may never understand the feeling of riding a motorcycle. I am here to tell you that he passed away doing something he truly loved. I’m here to tell you that if he were here today he wouldn’t ride today because of the weather, but he would be praying for a sunny day tomorrow.

Knowing Alfredo, he would want everyone to go and just do. Do anything. Do what you like. Do what you enjoy. Do what makes you happy. Do what fulfills you. Most importantly do not hesitate. He never did.

He was born April 17, 1981 and hit the ground running. If January 25th, 2006 and Alfredo Guzman taught us something it is that any day, any time, could be the last you ever have. Life is risk. Life is chances. Life is only temporary.
