Default A solumn reminder of how not to treat your riding privilage.

A few days ago, a friend of a friend of mine killed himself riding his motorcycle.

Late one night, he decided to go for a "trip around the block" with a girl at a party. They were both drunk, they were both doing drugs. They both got on the bike without helmets.

He failed to negotiate a left turn, hit the curb, both were ejected. The driver hit a pole head first and died on the spot from his injuries. The girl on the back was lucky enough to get away in a coma.

Please guys, I only post this story in the hopes that if any of you get the idea that a trip around the block is a harmless thing to be doing and that protective gear or your sobriety can be disregarded because of this, that you'll think about this first and tell the pretty girl that she'll have to wait another day for a ride.

Better yet, don't ride your bike anywhere that you might drink - period.
