ive got a 1997 suzuki rf 900 and i was wondering what kind of tail section options do i have? The tail section on this bike is huge it looks like crap, it makes a 180 rear tire look like a bicycle tire, i was wondering if i could put a gsxr tail section on it or anything like that, yamaha, anything that fits and looks better than the stock section

1991 Suzuki gsx 600

I'm going to look at a 1991 Suzuki gsx 600 with 31k tomorrow. The people selling it are asking $700.

They told me it has been sitting for about a year but it was started 4 months ago. It ran fine cold but when it warmed up it would cut out.

My questions are: Should I be worried that there could be a major underlying problem besides the carbs being gummed up?

Is there anything model specific I should know to look for?

Please give me some input. Thanks

Sport Touring Hayabusa

Best products in setting up a hayabusa for sport touring duties. Just wondering what other people would do in my shoes?

From the corbin bag of goodies:

Corbin Motorcycle Seats & Accessories | Suzuki Hayabusa GSX 1300 R | 800-538-7035
Corbin Motorcycle Seats & Accessories | Suzuki GSXR Motorcycles | 800-538-7035
hili bar's (raise the bars an inch or two)
transfer my zumo 550 to the hayabusa
buy a valentine 1 radar detector (for obvious reasons)
double bubble wind screen of some kind (not sure what brand I want yet?)

What else am I missing?

After logging 750 miles on the GSXR 600 two weeks ago 500 2 up riding with my g/f... I've been thinking about adding something a little more comfortable for longer rides. I'm planing on using the bike mostly for 2 up riding as I'd keep my little 600 for the canyons and track duty. Riding for hours on end isnt a problem.... but riding two up in these situations can cause your arse to go numb in 30 miles. I'd like to set up the hayabusa for sport touring with an average day ride of less than 350 miles one way. I'm planing on taking my girlfriend around the state on extended weekends.

I'd like to pick up a used '08 preferably white or blue & gold.

What else would you consider for the 'ideal touring busa'???

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. If you have any other suggestions let me know. Links would also be good.

2007 GSXR 600 FI light

Wondering how many others have the FI light coming on? I know that it is a common problem with these bikes. Mine usually comes on after a long ride and I put the bike away for a few days (with an empty tank). When I come back to the bike 3-4 days later and start the bike the FI light comes on. It goes away when I refuel. I'm wondering if this could be caused by the pressure in the fuel tank? It has happened to me three times now.

2001 GSXR-600:
After riding for 30-60 minutes, sometimes longer, I get a red warning light and the temperature indicator on the display alternately displays the temperature and "FI". When it happens the temperature displayed is normal. Once I get stopped, I use the kill switch and go into dealer mode. The display then shows "CHEC".

The owners manual states to take it into a dealer at that point. The bike still runs fine, and when I restart it the whole process starts over again or I might not get it again for the rest of the day. I know I have adequate oil and coolant levels. I just replaced the oil pressure sensor hoping that would address this issue.

Suggestions welcome.

Thanks.
