I dont rember where i saw it but there was a thing saying the stock 06 07 r6 rear hugger/fender deal is a bolt on to the 05+ zzr. It gives the rear shock some protection from road crap. So has anybody done this? I will try to get my friends 07 over here and give it a test fitting to see whats what. Ill grab some pics while im at it.

They are showing undertails for the ZZR at 65.95, but I'm just wandering if it is too good to be true. If anyone has one, I'd appreciate your opinions.

Odd shifter problem

When I upshift or downshift with any weight on the footpeg, the shifter doesn't "bounce back"... as soon as I pick my foot up off the peg, the shifter goes back to the "ready" position and I can continue to shift.

Is this normal and I'm just now noticing it?

I tightened the footpeg (it was a little wobbly) and it didn't help the issue.

If its not normal, has anyone seen it before? I'm working around it by just lifting my entire foot off the peg to shift. Its like the peg is binding the shift lever when I put weight on it.

first bike, winter advice...

Hello,

I have a zzr600 which is my first bike. I will be keeping covered in a shed for approx 3-4 months. The manual says to do an oil change and spray the metal with WD40.. and to drain the tank.

I was planning on pulling the battery and keeping the tank full with STABIL. and just doing a oil change in spring when I take it back out. Current oil has approx 1.5k on it.

Any advice? Do I need to spray the metal to prevent rust?

Also, do I need to put the tires on stands, or can I just put a blanket or something underneath of them?

Thanks for the help!
