They had the red one at the Cycle show a few years ago. I thought it was pretty cool. Then I had a 74 Norton years ago. I don't know how many prototypes were made their are a few out there. Never going to see production

Norton is back in the UK and is set for limited production. Yes, the bikes will be pricey but they're not trying to mass-market the thing and are instead going for the 'prestige' brand as opposed to main-stream.

I hope it flies. If Norton came back as a boutique bike for a while, maybe it could eventually regain it's place in the main stream like Triumph has. I like the idea of somebody putting a rotary in a bike, but I'm not sure how many people would actually buy one or how well it could be made to work, relative to a similar displacement piston engine. Rotaries tend to be very thirsty.

To me, the components seem over matched to the engine and riding category. High end Ohlins and Brembo are overkill for an 80HP, twin shock, single backbone frame standard.
That stuff adds a minimum of 5K in pointless expense, maybe more.

I dont disagree that the stuff is out of place for the average daily rider, and I dont even like Ohlins street stuff all that much. But the color contrast is gorgeous.

Totally agree, it's the total package of 'cafe racer' styling with modern equipment. Regardless of power it's going to be a sight (and sound) to behold!!!
I'm off to the London Bike Show next week, I'll see if they've got a stand and get some snaps ... or buy one!! Haha. that's please the missus. not!
