All Eurpean Sportsbike from RaceComp
RaceComp are big Triumph fans but we also make a lot of trick Ducati parts for both race and road bikes.
So the seeds are set to make the TriCati. A sick man I may be but why the hell not.
I can have the luxury of a low maintenance motor and the frame of the Daytona, with 140 rwbhp and the style of the Ducati. With lots of lightweight parts, the bike will be around 170 kg wet with no fuel. A huge amount of weight is saved by using the 749/999 rear-end and a race subframe with light weight wheels, Ohlins radial forks, carbon triple clamps and fork tubes, the list goes on. I know it's not everyone’s cup of tea but I do like to be different.
I may even turbo the bike just to make it more grunty, but my goal is a super light bike that’s got good power. With a few ECU tweaks and a race can, the late model Daytona has around 140 rwbhp from the standard motor. If the motor is subjected to some serious blue printing I would hope for at least 10more bhp.
I'm giving you guys a start to finish profile of the bike. I’m open to any comments be they good of bad!!! I will build it any way!!!!!
The first part of the project involved lining up the two culprits. A 999R and a naked Daytona side by side. Much to my surprise they are very close in dimensions. This started when I placed a Ducati race kit over a Triumph rolling frame and found that it was made for the job. Ever since then I've been real keen to make it happen. So the challenge begins.
I have all the parts to make the project and I've almost got a plan to find the time!
