Default 749 vs RSVR

I was lookin at both of these bikes and noticed they are generally the same price (1k diff). I like both bikes but feel the RSVR might be a lil too big for my personal pref, which led me to the 749, seems like the right size, look, and quality... But its practically the same price, which would u go for? I kno price isnt everything, but when it comes to 10k+ u tend to want to get all ur moneys worth..I also read that the ducatis need a lil more maintenance, but i'd honestly say i'd do more street riding than track days. What do u guys think?

Ummmmmmm...... This is a silly question since there's no such thing as too big.

Too tall maybe.

But NEVER too big.

What i mean to say was too powerful, which usually boils down to throttle control..

Check out the thread about the guy who just killed himself on a 250.

It doesn't matter.

Don't waste your money on the 749.

If it were the 999, I'd say it's a toss up. If you're racing, I'd say it's a toss up.

So in other words: Get the RSV.

Be warned Aprilia's are hairy chested bikes with instant power right when you crack the throttle open and are deceptively fast with higher top speeds than hp figures when compared to other bikes would sugest. If you are not too experienced you could be biting more than you can chew.
