Ok so I just bought a used P3r ol skool one with serial port, I have done some searches but havent found my answer if i overlooked it sorry..but anyways i dont have a laptop so i plan on doin this the ghetto way if possible. but dont know if i can download the map to my computer then move computer in garage and install map to bike.. do i need internet connection while doing the map to the bike or is it saved/downloaded to the computer?

It's saved on the computer. No internet connection required while you are flashing it.


You still have a computer with a serial port? Damn..... I mean- my laptop has one, but it's a business model, and a lot of shops still use equipment with serial interfaces. But I haven't seen a desktop with one in a LONG time. I guess they make those serial-usb converters, though...
