Default Front brake upgrades for 998?

Front brake upgrades?
I have a 2004 998 Matrix;

I have ridden on sport bikes for years now and have moved to Ducati.
I have watched the horse power increase over the years to my delight!
The brakes had to get better with this.
I know different brands and styles of brake systems vary.

My 998 has super front breaks! They really get the job done.
My concern is when I ride the front breaks into a hot turn and then lets off it wants to fall into the corner.

This is not an issue, just a little correction needed.
When I need to apply some break after I am in the turn, the 998 wants to stand up.

My question is;
What brand and grade pads , rotors has any body used to upgrade or resolve this issue, or do I just need to adjust my ridding style to the bike the way it is?

I am a very aggressive rider and do several track day a year.
Just not allot of people on Duc's.

i guess you could change to something like galfer wave rotors. it is pretty crazy to think that you are finding the brakes on the bike inadequate, they are probably some of the best that come on a bike. probably a given, but have you had the suspension adjusted to your body?

Have you tried different kinds of tires? Just a thought.

Yes I have had the forks and rear shock adjusted for my height and weight!
And I do understand the basics for fine tuning the rebound and compression.

Its not that the brakes are inadequate. They are great! (except for the rear brakes)
I am just trying to fine tune everything!
I did get a suggestion that the steering head may need to be tuned for my ridding style. (adjust rake) I have never had this option before but, I wouldn't think it would make a difference under braking.

NO;
I only have 1300 miles on the Pilot Powers!
The next set will be Diablo Corsa's. Then I will go with what I like best.

I didn't mean to come off as condescending, I was just asking. I have heard good things about the galfer rotors but I do know that there are brake upgrades out there for the superbikes.
http://www.hardracing.com/Brembo/BremboMC.htm
hope that helps.

I never took it that way!
I was just trying to state where I stand in tuning.
Although; I have had numerous replies suggesting the same thing on other forums so, I will try to tune the suspension more on the days that are worm enough to ride that hard.
I may have to wait on my firat track day at VIR this year.
Thanks for the link!

have you thought about trying new pads. get two sets of HH sintered pads for your brakes. give that a try. for fifty or sixty bucks you can't go wrong. if you need more try full floating buttons or pick up a new/use GP Radial Pump master cyclinder. lastly but the most out of pocket expense get the ductile iron rotors.

That's not a brake issue - That's a handling issue most likely related to tire profile.

I don't think its technique.
I have been ridding on the street sense I was 16.
I have had a few race schools and many laps under my belt.
However I will be ridding the 998 for a race school with Corner Speed at VIR this month.
It will be the first time for the 998 on the track and hope to get the suspension and technique dialed in.

Scott
I have come to the conclusion from dissuasions on this board and others that it is suspension.
I doughty its tires coming from the factory with Pilot Sports and I will be switching to power's before my track date.
The Power's do have a slightly different profile than the Sport's, so we will see how that works!
